Wish big

I was totally inspired by the last card I made for the clean and simple card making challenge. Today was about white space or negative space. I went with black space, but I think the effect really worked. I am going to be making more for this, think of this as your friendly warning LOL!
I am entering this into the simon says anything goes challlenge and the simon says show and tell challenge on stars.

Legand of Stars by Izzy 6 years old

It has many different colors and I did by gluing the stars on and then spritzing. And the glue went out and the spritzes went away, I LOVE it! (Izzy's description of her creation).

Seeing Stars

This is for the clean and simple card class day 3, technique day. Jennifer McGuire showed this awesome ink technique with blending inks. It really was AWESOME and worth the fee of the class. Anytime I can try something new and use what I have, I am all in!
I am also entering this into the Simon Says stamps show and tell for the week.  This week it is on stars.  This will also go into the simon says stamps challenge anything goes.  Super fun!

Clean and Simple 2 class

Loving this class. Not only is it AWESOME videos, but it is really pushing me to try out new things and use the goodies I have. (Let's face it, I have enough to last a lifetime LOL!)
This was used with spraying ink from the homemade ink spritzer I made out of ranger distress refills.  Serriously they are great!  I am going to be trying this on a few other cards today.  I will be posting the results soon.

St. Patty's

Well I am blogging on an unexpected work day off. There is something unfortunate about sick kids. No one wants to see their little ones sick. On the positive side, my girls LOVE to craft, so we have been busy!

I am a member of the Papersmooches club.  That means that I get all of their monthly stamps early.  At first I wasn't sure if I should be posting with them, but that is out the window LOL!  The real design team is showing off the new stamps today on the blog hop and they will be available for purchase tomorrow on the Papersmooches site.  Also, PS has new dies that will be for sale tomorrow along with the CHA stamps.  Although I will be waiting on my order until the next shipment of my monthly goodies, I will for sure be adding some of those fabuous dies when I can.

I made this cutie for the Clean and Simple cardmaking class day one challenge.  I am loving this class.  If you haven't had a chance to take a class this is a great one.

It is no secret that I really adore Jennifer McGuire's sytle and how she makes getting inky and techniquy fun.  I combined a few things I learned on this one including the sketch.  This is made with inktense colored pencils, really I am not a big enabler and I get aboslutely nothing for it, but these are AWESOME!!!!!

Runway inspired

I have no idea how I got from the flowy beautiful dress to this fun and graphic male card, but there you go LOL! I am entering this into the Runway inspired challenge and also the Simon says show and tell challenge blog about what are you known for.   This is another graphic card.  I got the new framed out serries and thought it looked a lot like and I pod, so this is what I ended up with.
I keep saying this will be my last card for the day, but it seems like I have found all of this time today.  That is always a great feeling.  Cece is sleeping and Izzy is furiously working on a new lego.  Randy is home but napping, gesh!  What should I be doing, I don't know clearning or laundry, but this is so much more fun!!!  I actually feel like I have all of the challenge blogs taken care of right now.  Isn't that crazy, I don't think there has ever been a time when I have been able to tackle eveyone I wanted to do.

Paper Smooches round 2

I had some time and was really digging the color combo this time around from Papersmooches Sparks challenge, so I decided to whip up another card.

I just got some orders in, this is totaly my crafty Christmas month LOL! I got a PTI, Simon Says and signed up for the monthly Paper Smooches Club. Can life get any better?  On a side note, this is my first month with the Paper Smooches club and I have the 3 new sets for next month.  I feel like a total rock star, but my question is can I post cards made with the sets now or do you need to wait until they are officially released?  Thanks for the help!

I am also going to put this into the Simon Says Stamp and show challenge what are we known for.  This card demonstrates my graphic card style.

Hey Chickie

This is my last one for the morning. This cutie is for the PaperSmooches Sparks challenge. I used my inkense pencils, so I didn't have ther perfect teal to color the cute little chickie with. I did like the end result still.
I am going to enter this in the simon says stamp and show challenge. It was to do what you are known for. This is a good example of the fun, cute and bright cards I like to make.

Try something new color challenge

Welcome Sunday! This is a little different therean others becauase Randy has been gone for the week and just got home today. So, the girls are so happy and I have some stamping time LOL!

I made this yesterday and there are a lot of news on here and the Hero Arts color combo challenge. I just got a big order from Simon Says Stamps with lots of new goodies. The first was a few of the Hero Arts shadow inks, not all of the colors in this challenge though LOL! Next new was the card, I totally cased this from Jennifer. When I am trying something new like a technique it is easier for me to case a card first. Lastly, the background is also new to me.

It was a lot of fun.  I wish I had some sentiments that went with this background better.  We went this the teaching route.  If you have any suggestions, please leave them in the comments section.  I must admit I am a little stumped.  Izzy has a concert coming up, so we want to give her music teacher a nice card.
I have a few more posts this morning and I am hoping to be stampin away again soon!

Hello, Lovely

I know I'm not supposed to be biased, but this is my favorite card of the night. I have made this for the PTI blog hop challenge and the new Muse challenge. If you haven't checked out the Muse challenge site, I really recommend it. There is a inpiration card found here.

This is my second take. On this card I was really drawn to the layout, the pattern paper on the sides and the bright yellow flower. I know my card goes in a different direction, but the influences can be seen.

Okay here are my loves on this card. First of all LOVING inktense colored pencils. Izzy and I have been playing around with them and we really are digging the results. It is so much fun to be able to color on dark paper and still get a vivid color and effect. If you ever have a change to play with some of these make sure you do. They really are dynamite!

PTI makes my heart soar

Here is another card for the PTI blog hop and the MIM layered embossing challenge.  I had so much fun with this card.  I used hearts from heart prints and one from one of Heather's tag its sets.
Super fun if you ask me LOL!

It's a good life!
Terri E.

PTI Blog hop Back to Black

I am back to black (okay smoky shadow LOL!) I have combined a few challenges. The first is the PTI blog hop challenge about using a dark paper as the base. I also did layering embossing for the MIM challenge.

Lastly, I found a new to me challenge site called pinspired. I know that is hard to believe LOL!  You know my love for challenges and this one has everything it takes to be FUN!!!!  I don't have a ton of time to go on pintest, so I love the idea of someone else picking the inspiration.

I picked up on the gray background, color scheme and the snowflakes in the scarf.  We have pretty much no snow here in Illinois, which is crazy wired.  The sentiment is perfect for us right now.

It's a good life!

PTI Blog Hop Black Challenge

I am so excited to be in this PTI blog hop about using black or dark characol as the base of the card. How much fun was this challenge? I combined this with the MIM layered embossing.

This card was inspired by a card that Betsy did a while back. I love the idea of embossing over stmaped white ink backgound. I used a hero arts background for the oldies challenge found here on a blog named hero. This was my first hero arts stamp, so it is the oldest I have LOL!
I want to give this a try again and stamp off once with the white ink, it was more intense than I thought it would have been.  I think that would help the embossing pop a little better.  I have three other cards to shrare tonight, it was an addicting challenge!

Make it Musey LOL!

I am so excited to be joining a new blog called Muse. It is such a neat concept, you can read about it here. What I love the most is that it is designed to uplift and supoport others. I think that it is so fabulous!

Here is the inspiration card from Amy

Here is my take, I was so inspired by the stripes of pattern paper adn the big flower.  I also really gravitated to the center square element.
While I was thinking about this challenge, it seemed to work well with the Papertrey Ink Make it Monday challenge to do layered embossing.  Layered embossing is acutally a lot of fun.  I have a few more cards I am working on for the blog hop tomorrow.  Layering with clear embossing powder is really harder than one might think.  I had much better luck with the zing colored embossing powder.

Oh, the other great thing about the challenge is that you have to use the supplies you have on hand.  I can't say I have ever run out and purchased new supplies for a challenge, but I loved looking through the mountains of supplies that I have to find pieces that fit.  I must say that it was such an unexpected joy.  I don't think I have used all of the stacks of pattern paper that I have in months and here you go.  It also got me busting out the purple zing that was unused sense now.  Thanks again for the great new challenge blog, if you have time I would really encourage taking a look!

Solution oversized paper

Does anyone remember this card?  I was one of the lucky ones who was able to go to the Cincinatti stamp a fare and this was one of the cards that we made.  Dawn acutally designed the card.  I can remember sitting there and asking her how do you send these types of cards?

All the years later, this is still in my room becuase I don't have a good way to send it.  Thanks to this MIM challenge, the card is now got a solution.

Solution Big Bows

The next type of card that now has a packaging solution from the MIM challenge is big bows.

There was a thread on the PTI forum recnetly asking if big bows are in or out. I really can't say, but when I put them on a card I have a problem with them getting smooshed in the envelope. I really did love this challenge this week.

Butterfly solution

Hello Sunday LOL! I am so excited for the three day weekend. Now that I am a loan officer, I can take advantage (although I am ususally heading into the office anyway LOL).

The nice thing about the MIM challenge was looking through all of my cards that have parts that would be off the normal card base and making a gasoline bag for them. Can't wait until I can get more of these beauties! For this card I love the solution that it provides for butterfly wings that hang over the card.

PTI's MIM post 2

Ironically, one of the cards I made last week had arrows hanging off all of the edges. It was perfect for figuring out what to package it in, which was the PTI MIM challenge this week.

I have seen the gasoline bag as an evenlope as packaing before, but I have never tried myself, not sure why.  I LOVE IT!!!
Love that you can see inside and love that it was so stinking easy.  Have a great one!

MIM packaging large cards

I have two posts today about the new MIM challenge. I am on a roll LOL! Dawn's video was about what to do when the card you make is over the A2 size. Well, I really don't make a lot of those cards becasue it bothers me if I don't have a envelope that fits. Who knew about the larger evnelopes, I am going to be grabbing some of those soon.

The other idea was to use the card as a tag. Well, I have one of Izzy's birthday invitation that I thought coudld be used for one of her friend's parties that she goes to. This was the proto type card and it ended up 7 inches long. Way to big for a normal card. It is really a fun tag and looks good on the bag.

Sending Sunshine

Here is the last challenge card from us for a while. This is for the MIM rainbow and repeats challenge. I didn't get to one of the color combos, but I don't think there will be time. We have done a lot in these past few days LOL!

This one stamp is a little work horse for me.  It is from the lates teacher apple stamp set and it is one of the hidden gems of the set.

Vintage?!?

The Paper Smooches Sparks challenge was vintage. I think if you have checked out my blog at all you would quickly see vintage is not my style at all LOL! Izzy was here when I was looking at the challenge the first time and she wanted to know more about it. When I shared that I really wasn't good at that she gave me a mini lecture about never giving up and there you go LOL!

The first card was my first attempt.  I have always liked that vintage is distressed adn usually uses fun patterns and lace as well.  I started with the first card.  As I was looking at it and wrestleing with the fact that it wasn't me at all I made some discoveries.  First instead of the PTI chai tea duo I could use the distress vintage photo ink.  Then I thought if I CASed it up a bit I would like the card much better.

Here is the second attempt, much more like a Terri card, so I am loving the end card and really happy Izzy pushed me to explore my inner vintage LOL!
It seems there was a mix up on the Paper Smooches Sparks site, so this might not get looked at this week.  Ultimately, I am still glad that Izzy and I got to create.

The old card by Izzy 6 years old

Paper Smooches Sparks challenge site had a fun one this week that was vintage. Izzy didn't understand vintage, so we talked about old things and Great Grandma's house hence the name old card LOL!

She worked hard distressing it, cutting out her dsp and stamping.  She is the best stamping buddy, never afraid to get messy, try something new and even make all of my mistakes into treasures!

For you

This cutie was so much fun to make for PTI's MIM challenge color combo #2. I really liked looking through my stamp sets to find unloved elements that would work for the repeating elements.

I used only Mat Stack number 1. The other part of this challenge that was hard was the colors, I just realized that I'm not a soft color combo kind of girl, but it really was fun to strech. It was looking plain, but I was totally inspired by Jess's card and her use of washie tape at the bottom.  It really helped my card.

Hearts of Joy by Izzy 6 years old

Izzy is my best stamping buddy ever! When we watched the MIM video this week and saw Nicole's daughter Izzy knew she was going to love the challenge. She loved it so much that she made a card for every color combo (I still haven't finihsed the last combo, she is amazing!)

Toppings and Cupcakes by Izzy 6 yrs old

Izzy made this fun one for the Moxie Fab 10 embelishment challenge. We went to archivers last night and she got some new stickers just for this :) We also got some stensils and made some sprays out of distress inks. I have some more cards with that goodness for another day, but it was a blast. Her card has some of that fun as well.

Warning.....

There will be a TON of posts today. Izzy and I have been stamping away and I have been really bad about posting them, so here we go LOL!

This card was made for two challenges, the PTI MIM color challenge and the Moxie Fab world 10 emblishment challenges. Okay I'm not going to be shy, I LOVE how this turned out LOL!  I love that Nicole challenged us to use the same stamp or die in the repeating color challenge.  I am all about using my arrow dies now and since they came in the same bag, I am calling them the same die :)  I just love how the arrows ended up poping off the card and the glitter arrow was a last minute idea which worked great for this beauty.

Embilishments take 1

I am really on a roll with the rainbow challenge from PTI. This is color challenge number 1. I must say what is really hitting home with me is picking only one stamp or one die (okay the arrows are all together and therefore only one die LOL!). It really had me going through my collection to find unloved stamps and dies.

I am calling this take 1 because I just had an idea to make this even better. Look out for take 2 coming soon LOL!

Hello Moxie Fab

I love the Moxie Fab blog and I am so excited to be able to participate in some of the challenges. I used to do more on the challenges and submit more, but I have been so busy that it really hasn't been happening for me.

I am so grateful for some sickness (I know really backwards) becuase it has given me some time to not only create, but upload as well. This cutie is for the card with a window challenge from Moxie Fab and the MIM rainbow challenge from PTI.
The color combo is number 4.

It's a good life!

Grateful

This is for my fun processor at work. We have changed around our departments and I have a new processor, which I am so excited about. Although I have THE BEST, I wanted to write the gal I have been working with to let het know I apprecaited her work.

I think this challenge from Nicole at PTI's MIM was perfect!  I bused out this die and stamps that I really haven't given enough love to.  This is for the rainbow combo number 5.
I have three more color combos that I am going to be uploading soon.

It's a good life!

A little note

I'm not sure if blogger did change the rules, but I have had a hard time loading my picture to the blog today. Have any of you had issues? Anyway, loving that I am able to enter into this weeks Little Tangles CAS challenge.

I know I am biased, but I LOVE how this card turned out.  The neon inks are a big hit at our house and the bright pop of color really helps in a CAS card.
I'm also entering this in the CASual Friday's thank you challenge.  This is little note works well for many occiasions, but it was sent to my boss.

It's a good life!

Wahooo!

I was picked for top tangle at the Little Tangles blog found here.

What an honor this was for me to see!  I am trying to get my latest card uploaded so that I can enter again.

Blackboard Card

I have a fun card for the MIM and Paper Smooches sparks challenges. If you have been watching, I used this same block of sentiments on another card this morning.

I realized after starting this challenge that I have no white pencil in that whole crafting room of mine. I really don't know how that is possible, but there you go.   I had to go with just the chalk effect.  I used PTI smokey shadow and soft stone card stock.  The pp is PTI as well.
I also used a ton of papersmooches stamps for all of the fun sentiments.

I have more to share, but it will have to wait, I am on niquil and finding it hard to stay awke, but I am hopful that I will be kicking this cold soon!

It's a good life!
Terri E.

AEI{heart}U first challenge!

I am super excited to find the Avery Elle challenge. There is something about being involved with the first one.  Here is the link you can find it here

Here is my card for the show your own style challenge. I really love the fun Picture It stamp set that Avery Elle has made.
I would easily say I am a CAS kind of girl.  I love bold colors and thoughtful accents.  I am loving washi tape, but I don't always have a thoughtful way to use it.  I was digging the pop it gave this card.  I used the fun neon inks form Hero arts and thought it would be a good accent for this card.

Paper Smooches Anything goes challenge

Happy New Year! We spent the weekend in St. Louis, but we were back by dinner yesterday for New Years at my Mom and Dads. I am blessed that we had our first day of the new year at home with the family and equily blessed that by girls LOVE to stamp with me.

I was dying to pull out my many new stamp sets from Paper Smooches (Santa was good to me!).  I have no idea how many sentiment sets I pulled from for this card or what they were, but it was fun.
I am entereing this beauty for the Paper Smooches anything goes challenge found here.  I loved the layout so much that I had to try another card with it.  That should be up later tonight.  (Izzy is working on many entries for this week, so look for that LOL!)
